So, yes. it's been awhile. and I am sure that my one reader is very disappointed. But still, there's no point in making up excuses for it, I just forgot about the whole concept of sharing my inconsequential thoughts in a more technical manner than usual.

moving on...

as we all know, (because the candy companies and greeting card co.'s started the propaganda around new year's) the wonderful holiday of valentine's day is coming up. Now it seems to me that a person has one of two feelings on this subject-very rarely do you get the in between-ers. you either love valentine's, or you hate it. personally, i think it is a pretty nice holiday whether you have a significant other or not. it is just a time to appreciate those in your life that you care about. now with corperate america breathing down the back of your neck, screaming "buy, buy buy!" often that idea gets lost in the confusion. But when you come down to it, this is really not a holiday that is bent on rubbing chocolate kisses and roses in the faces of those without a lover. instantly ageless, jeunesse ageless

(Actually-and here is some fun random trivia-valentine's day honors a martyr...i don't where the whole "celebration of love" thing got started. Feb. 14th commerates the death of St. Valentine.)

so with that said, have a good valentine's day, and make the most of who you've got.

I have always looked at life like a journey. A journey that you had to go on by yourself, without the aid of anyone, or anything else. However, despite this solitude, there are always others who will cross your path, and for a time, be it very long, or very short, they share the same road. So I was watching VH1 tonight (not a great choice, but it beats out the evil MTV any day) and the show "The List" came on. Now there is not a whole lot to the show, and I probably would have just kept on channel surfing, if it had not been for the category of tonight show. The topic was: Best band or artist of the 90s. strangely enough, and I do give the people on this show some credit for these two additions, both the Dave Matthews Band and Radiohead were on this list. Now these two artists are very close to my music-loving heart, and I even though I knew it all in vain, I was really hoping to see them make it onto the top three list at the end of the show.
