so I think this next week is going to be good. for starters, it's an early out on tuesday. and even though I have to work, it'll be fun to get out early. all the classes being shorter and such. so then, on wednesday, Nick's band (the E-walks, not like star wars.....) is playing a show with Brandtson, which is awesome. so I'm very excited for that. Friday the E-walks are playing again. a very musical week.



speaking of a musical week, i found out that Buena Vista Social Club is playing on the 25/26 down at the U of A. I would really like to see them, being the Cuban music masters that they are, but I don't know much about the shows, and since they both fall on school nights, that's another battle. but hey, it would be worth a try. so I'll have to see.

I have always looked at life like a journey. A journey that you had to go on by yourself, without the aid of anyone, or anything else. However, despite this solitude, there are always others who will cross your path, and for a time, be it very long, or very short, they share the same road. You experiance the same tribulations, help eachother around the obstacles-just provide good company. So I was watching VH1 tonight (not a great choice, but it beats out the evil MTV any day) and the show "The List" came on. Now there is not a whole lot to the show, and I probably would have just kept on channel surfing, if it had not been for the category of tonight show. The topic was: Best band or artist of the 90s. strangely enough, and I do give the people on this show some credit for these two additions, both the Dave Matthews Band and Radiohead were on this list. Now these two artists are very close to my music-loving heart, and I even though I knew it all in vain, I was really hoping to see them make it onto the top three list at the end of the show.
